a picture an hour(ish): road trip edition

Pack your bags we're goin' on a road trip. Just you, me, a photo an hour and big red. I'm sending you your share of the gas bill as i type.

9:47am* - The route - iphone google maps are the only way I can find my way around anymore. I can get lost with the simplest of directions.. great life skills there guy. How sad is it that this is the furthest 'North' I've been in my own province? To be fair, it's pretty big and it takes a long ass time to get around. To be unfair, I don't like going places that become -30 in the winter. i'm quite comfortable here in my warm little corner of the country. *confession - This time is completely fabricated. Look I'm first paragraph in and I'm already lying to your face. We all know I barely made it out the door by 11:30am.

11:31am- exactly why i go to the states for gas.

12:42pm - Regretful road trip fuel for champions. Lay off I was starving! I was sorry the minute I swallowed the last bite. McDonalds why do you do this to me every tiiiiime!!? mmmmmcnuggets.

1:43pm Big Red est 1993. She's faithful, but a real gas pig.

Photobucket
1:47pm - 'never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly' - gift from grandma. thanks g! do not return to picture from 1:43pm. carry on.

Photobucket
2:48pm - what happens when everyone complains it rains here too much. Like clockwork every summer without fail, it won't rain for months on end, the interior gets bone dry and the whole province ignites into flames from lightning bolts or campfires or people who throw cigarette butts out their car window (i will punch through your windsheild and drag you out by your mullet if I ever witness that) and then oooh what have we here?! everyone praying for rain to put out the flames? in the meantime I can't see any pretty mountains or lakes on my already painfully long drive up north, let alone 3 feet in front of my face from all the smoke and I smell like i live in a fireplace part time. so the moral of the story is smokey the bear says only you can prevent me from assaulting you when you bitch about the rain and/or smoke.

Photobucket
3:37pm - are we there yet?  what a terrible picture an hour idea. for 5 hours in a row it's all the same scenery. But I've decided if I have to suffer then so do you.

Photobucket
5:57pm - arrived safely with a dash of grumpy at destination. suffering is over. now you can sit here and watch me have fun.

Photobucket
6:21pm- sleepy gogs waiting for me to faceplant in the lake so we can head back in and nap/eat/sniff bugs/eat butterflies and so on.

Photobucket
6:34pm - Sneak peek quick break for some blog outfit post pics. I brought up a fantastic handmade thrifted find.. might be my favourite one yet. If you patiently wait for me to get my shit together more photos will follow this week.

Photobucket
6:58pm - I just remembered how cool it is to live here.

Photobucket
7:04pm - well why not. i'd like to make you believe i am consistently this active in one day. would I LIE to you!? infrequently.

Photobucket
41:89ampm?- my friend's joint stag/stagette cabin outback shindig. saw way too many people from high school who i could've gone another 8 years without seeing. Having clichéd inebriated deep conversations and other inappropriate activities that must not be mentioned mostly because I cannot recall the majority of them.

i've been eaten alive by through deet, pants and air punches by miniscule devils with wings and i want to remove my skin I'm so itchy. Was it worth it? Yes. Unless of course I contract some sort of disease from all these bites and then cabins and lakes can jog on. The next picture per approximate hour will be more insightful and half as entertaining. probably. Not too shabby for a first time learning adventure. I think we all have become better people for having shared this new experience. I bid you adieu.

make me a happy girl and do this once a week. Or I'll do it and pay you (in compliments) to apply your witty commentary to my day.

Gorgeous location, and cute dogs too.
