I only had to ask 374 times, but sooooomebody finally took me down to the pumpkin patch. I envisioned a fantasy pumpkin-land with hayrides and acres of perfectly orange spheres and was a little bummed when it appeared we got the rotten, homegrown, industrial area farm, batch. I felt for the little dude who stormed onto the field and full out booted the first pumpkin he saw. His mom yells out, James! Don't do that! And little bratty James scowls and says, I don't like pumpkins!! Hah! Well, James I don't like your attitude. Should I kick you? No, wait that's what was in my head. Anyway, they were all rotting so I don't really blame him.

Much like this p-patch, my outfit is a mixture of blacks and browns. Big deal dudes, I wasn't truly sold on the colour brown and mixing it with black felt awkward, but I really loved the outcome. The boots are freakin perfect! I found them two days ago at Army and Navy for like $39. Horray! They're warm and comfortable and just what I've been looking for. Brown is quickly becoming my new favourite colour to wear.
Shhhh... No, "i told you so"s. Don't tell summer Lesley I said that. It'll be between you, me and the unloved orange carcasses.

Happy Halloween tomorrow friends, homemade costume coming your way! weeeee

Anywho... the P patch is kinda sad looking but the pictures look really cool. The most un-natural, natural place ever...

WOW those are some ROTTEN pumpkins. Holy F.
I wanted to laugh when you described your expectations because that's how i think of pumpkin picking... (not that I ever went... even tho im from the country) and as i was reading that... i was seeing the pictures and i was laughing internally. (it has to be internally - im in class.... LEARNING.......)

whoa whoa WHOA.

WHOOOOOOA.

Sorry I need to take a little breather for a min..

Ok. I'm back. You caught me off guard Ms Lesley. 2 posts?! TWO???! I got a major head rush reading through them too quick, and I just had to go back through this one so that I could process what you actually said. What you wore was absorbed instantly and loved. Loved Ms thang. Those boots look just like my tar-jet ones that you obsessed over so kudooos lady! You know what makes me laugh? how apprehensive you were to mix black and brown with this post.. yet in the next you're wearing white AFTER labor day, AND sequins during the day? Wild fucking woman.

I'll be honest.. My pumpkin patch experience was not storybook material either. Sure the weather was gorgeous, and all the colors coordinated perfectly with my attire AND hair.. but I didn't actually want to buy a pumpkin, and the M was waaay more excited about his caramel apple than I was about anything there. Plus seeing your outfit makes me like mine even less. I love that huge unflattering thrifted sweater, but it also makes me look like shamu, which is never in style.

Ok I need to pace myself.. I still have another novel to write on your more recent post.. until then.
