thankful

It was Thanksgiving this weekend and I did what I do best on holidays, got the hell out of dodge and ran away to the Okanagan to visit my grandparents for some slow life and good eats.



grandma, grandad... you guys are really letting the place go lately. any thoughts on my early inheritance?



Whilst I was facedown in a plate of turkey, my mom took Penny to a puppy salon where she received the full meal deal. The lady put bows on her ears which she promptly scratched off and ate.

I haven't had a haircut as expensive as Penny's in... well maybe forever. If I have to cut my own bangs then she'll have to cut hers too. I teach my (fur)babies the true value of a dollar. This is what my mom taught me and grades 1 through 4 my hackjob bangs appeared to have been cut while driving. Through a forest. On an ATV. On fire.




If you see very few outfit posts it's not because i ran out of clothes, it's because they don't fit anymore. It's Thanksgivings fault.

Get back here dog we have important poses to do. The jeggings were worn pre-dinner. Post-bird it was Costco yoga pants and don't even act like none of you do the same. I needed to be wheelbarrowed from room to room.




Looky at my new purchase an hour before we left. I haven't felt love like this since yorkshire puddings the night before. These are all you will see from now until late February. You think I'm kidding, just wait. Both you and the boots will  be crying for me to wear something different.



Hope all you hosers had a good turkey day. I'm thankful for my loved ones, my health and the other usual suspects, but I'm definitely thankful that no matter how absent I get on here, you guys always seem to take the time to visit, comment funny, random weird stuff and bring a smile to my face.

PS: spontaneous, frantic update! I just checked Merl's blog and she's doing a friggin sweet giveaway! Horray! She's one of my favourite people ever, so go follow her (in blog world and real life) but maintain some distance and be sneaky about it, because restraining orders are most unfortunate. I wouldn't know, but I've um... heard. Seriously though... regardless if she was giving anything away or not, I'd put up a big ol' picture of her and her talent (don't be dirty, i mean her vintage and jewellery) on my sidebar ANY DAY! Because that's how aweome I think she is.
