Miraculously, I had both Saturday AND Sunday off last weekend so Saturday was spent shopping in the States and Sunday Cam and I braved the icy winds and wandered around Fort Langley.

My eyes are watering, my ears alternate between feeling like they are bleeding to not feeling them at all and I have a face full of ice wind which I can imagine is only slightly less desirable then being hit by a cement truck. Isn't winter soooo romantic?

Shopping in Washington was a huuuge success! We hit up my international lover, Target, for an hour just glazing over at how cheap everything is. My main intentions were to shop down south for Christmas gifts, but I ended up being my own Santa and bought a few items for myself and some gifts for Penny! ha! I'm a terrible Christmas shopper, I always want to get really special, meaningful, unique gifts, but I leave everything until the last minute and end up panic atttack shopping my way through late December.

Afterwards we visited the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood where they had some outrageous sale at Urban Outfitters. Everything item of clothing and shoe was magically my size and I sort of hyperventiallated when I saw how cheap they were. My mind wandered frantically: What's going on? Why is this so cheap?! Why didn't anyone buy this goodness before? Does Lynnwood not appreciate fashion? I'm hungry when are we eating? Who am I? And so on. Unfortunately, I got there just before closing and I only had time to grab this romper guy. Regular $68.00. Sale $9.99. I squealed and almost bodychecked a sales clerk on the way to the register.

It was some kinda cold in Fort Langley. We were right on the river and the -3 plus wind chill made it feel like -10. This is exactly why I hate winter. Give me back my rain and milder temperatures. Although a romper is clearly summer attire, I like to live life on the edge and wear my summer clothes in the dead of winter. Rebellious. I just had to wear my new purchase right away so I just layered the shit out of it and called it an outfit. Don't think that you can tell me what to do Winter!

The back is adorned with buttons and a cutout, but you probably won't see that until Spring. Jacket removal is the closest I got to showing off the full look and I almost lost a few fingers from frost bite. Look how red they are :(

There's only so much brain freeze weather I can take so we ditched our little old towny/nature walk prematurely and got lunch. I got a burger and Cam got ketchup(?) at Triple O's, my fingers thawed out and all was right with the world again. 9 times out of 10 it's in everyone's best interest that I'm fed. Happy Lesley, happy you, happy world.

LISTEN LADY! I got up this morning to a thick layer of Ice over EVERYTHING. I almost bailed 5 times on my way to the bus stop. You sure you want my weather??? NAW I didn't think so! don't you live in Vancouver? I'm pretty sure it's generally colder HERE than there. Am I wrong? Yeah that's right. ( I could be wrong though - in which case please ignore the past few lines cuz then i'll look like a jerk and a half )
You will have to pry those boots off my dead cold feet. not to be confused with my winter cold feet. not that they will be cold with the boots on.
And what the hell are you doing in a romper and tights? no wonder you hate winter! get some longjohns and mukluks and you will be a happier camper. maybe one of those face masks with the holes for eyes and mouth?

I hope you're thawing out like we are! I hate snow and ice because I dress in denial and end up wearing something completely inappropriate. Rain? I'm back in my comfort zone. Oh, yeah.

Im a little late getting to this post, but better late than never.

This is one of my favorite outfits of yours, despite the fact that it's completely unreasonable for the season (your cold faces made me laugh). I love the way you styled that sick cheap romper with polka-dotted tights and leather. And um, those boots? Lovely.

I forget that you don't have Target up there. Lucky. It's a financial black hole where all extra income gets sucked in. I can't buy things like shampoo or milk from our local Target because I'll walk out with shoes, jewelry and four clearance clothing items. Dangerous.

Ok. we had our downtime. I hope yours was filled with puppy kisses and diet coke, and not tears and emotional breakdowns like mine [though diet pepsi never left my side] BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I'm back and even pulled 2 posts out of my twat this week. Which means you better shape the fuck up missy. I miss you and stalking on you on facebook is not the same as getting bitch slapped in the best possible way by your wit.

Glad we had this talk. See you out there.
